Richmond Parks Department Hosts New Haunted Attraction
The House of Horror is ready to bring the screams this year at Springwood Lake Park Pavilion! “House of Horror: Quarantined” is a new attraction from Richmond Parks and Recreation and the Richmond High School Marching Band.
A “house” in Springwood Lake Park has been quarantined for the past year due to a deadly new virus that killed off most of humanity. Come be the first to view (and try to escape!) the house for the first time where the virus has taken the lives of some and left others in a deadly new form. The haunted hayride takes you to the doctor’s laboratory where he has been working with the disease and its inhabitants to find a cure- but beware- the doctor has a few surprises of his own for you!
House of Horror will run five nights only starting Friday, October 23 from 7:00-10:00pm and again on October 24, 29, 30 and 31. Admission to the haunted attraction, which includes a tour through the quarantined haunted house and haunted hayride to the “Dr’s Lab” is $5.00 a person. Those 12 and under will only be admitted with a parent.
The parks department will also host a kid-friendly hour on Friday, October 23 from 6:00-7:00pm. Admission is free for children 6 and under during this hour only.
Concessions will also be available.
