now the last thing i want to start here is some big political and racism discussion....so please...do not take this opportunity to jump on some soap box...i just want a quick answer...
this comic was printed in the new york post on wednesday....the artist said he was trying to bring two big news stories together, the story of the crazed chipmanzee and the story of barack obama's stimulus plan that is catching a lot of heat...
so he made this comic strip, which he swears only attempts at humor by tieing the crazy chimp to the controversial stimulus plan...BUT...it was not recieved so well...
the problem is obvious...but we live in a new era....should we move on and forget about all those old stereotypes, or do we respect the past and remain very careful about how we portray certain things?.....
remember...no long speeches, and no soapboxes...just your initial gut reaction..
is this racist?
