Intel ICH7R/ICH9R/ICH10R HostRAID Setup Guidelines 1 Intel ICH7R/ICH9R/ICH10R HostRAID Setup Guidelines After all hardware has been installed, you must fi rst con fi gure the Intel SATA HostRAID settings before you install the Windows Operating System and other software drivers. Important Notes to the User 1. Intel 7th Generation Core i3, i5, or i7 processors Intel Rapid Storage Technology (Intel RST) driver, Version 15.5 or later Operating system: Windows® 10 Spring 2017 Creator's Update (1703) or later installed on a supported storage device IMPORTANT: Only Windows 10 Spring 2017 Creator's Update (1703) or later is supported. For the Intel CPU platform, you need to manually install Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) driver during the Windows installation process. You can also refer to the Intel document of How to Configure RAID or Intel Optane Memory with Intel RST on an Intel VMD Capable Platform. There looks to be two bundled files: (SetupRST.exe), and ( f6flpy-x64.zip). Then there is the Optane and Storage Mgmt App from the Microsoft Store. RST driver updates provided by my system's manufacturer will eliminate any impact caused by non-customized drivers.I will install any RST updates from the OEM site. 1.) Intel RST Mode wont function after manual update from device manager Hey guys please I need help u.u, I have w10 pro and I manually updated some "devices" with the device manager, I updated 3 or 4 things of the following: (1) IDE ATA/ATAPI- Intel 100 series c230 chipset, (2) Network adapter-Realtek PCIe Family controller, Disabling Intel Smart Response Technology Setup through RST GUI: 1. Open RST GUI and click on the "Accelerate" tab. Click on the "Disable Acceleration" button. 2. A pop-up window will appear, click "Yes" RST Cache is now DISABLED. Smart Response Technology is now DISABLED and all data is guaranteed to be written to the HDD. After showing hidden devices, double-click Non-plug and play Drivers. Right-click on your respected Intel (R) Rapid Storage Technology driver, and then select Properties. Navigate to the Driver tab and then under Startup, change it to Disabled. Restart the system. Now you should be all done if step #13 was not your last. 3 Enabling Intel Rapid Start Technology System BIOS configuration 1. After pressing the power button to boot up the computer, press the ESC key to bring up the Startupmenu. Then select the F10 key to enter the BIOS Setup menu. 2. Next, use the arrows to move to or click to select the System Configurationtab. 3. On the Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology menu, press on Create RAID Volume to enter the Create RAID Volume screen. Enter a volume name with 1~16 letters (letters cannot be special characters) under the Name item and press . Then, select a RAID level (Figure 3). RAID levels supported include RAID 0, 1,450 Views. We use the Intel Storage Technology in our POS systems for years, using the RSTCLI.exe utility to manage the RAID volume. After updating to Windows 10 64 bit, using RST version 17.7.0.1006, we tried to use the corresponding RSTCLIPro.exe to manage the RAID volume. Alas, the '-M' option to control the RAID volume seems to be gone.
