For BMPs currently widely used in the Denver Area, the maintenance guidelines build directly upon Volume 3 of the Urban Storm Drainage Criteria Manual. For BMPs that have been used less frequently in the Denver area, such as green roofs, recommendations for maintenance are provided based on experiences in other parts of the United States. Urban Drainage Criteria Manual, Volume 2, "Structures, Storage and Recreation". Note: Name Change to MHFD - Mile High Flood District. Denver Urban Drainage Criteria Manual (Urban Drainage and Flood Control District). (2017b). Urban Drainage Criteria Manual, Volume 3, Chapter 4, "Treatment Best Management Practice T-01". Storm Drainage Design and Technical Criteria (City and County of Denver 1992) and Urban Drainage and Flood Control District (UDFCD) criteria for green infrastructure projects on Colorado's Front Range. UDFCD criteria are published in Urban Storm Drainage Criteria Manual (USDCM) Volume 3 (UDFCD 1992). • Green infrastructure inspection checklists Drainage Design Manual; and, the Denver Regional Council of Governments, Urban Drainage and Flood Control District's Urban Storm Drainage Criteria Manual. This chapter is not a textbook on drainage design, nor is it a substitute for fundamental engineering knowledge or experience in drainage design. Storm drains should be designed by the CDOT The approach was first to create a far-reaching Urban Storm Criteria Drainage Manual (Wright-McLaughlin Engineers 1969) to reform the archaic drainage policies and practices of the metro area. The second step was for the state of Colorado to form a five-county Denver Urban Drainage and Flood Control District that would have adequate authority March 2017 Urban Drainage and Flood Control District 5-1 Urban Storm Drainage Criteria Manual Volume 1 1.0 Overview The purpose of this chapter is to provide rainfall depth, duration, intensity, and frequency data and analytical methods used to develop the rainfall information needed to carry out the hydrological analyses described in the Denver Urban Drainage and Flood Control District's (UDFCD) Urban Storm Drainage Criteria Manual, dated 2001, with appropriate revisions to address local conditions. The use of common design standards for design of stormwater facilities along the Front Range will provide consistency for the engineering design community. All drainage reports and plans, drainage system analyses, and drainage system designs, submitted as a requirement of the Douglas County Zoning or Subdivision Resolutions, shall comply with these criteria.
