I have not ordered an engagement ring on-line. My husband used the stone from his mom’s engagement ring and re-set it for me. I would be wary about ordering one on-line unless you aren’t interested in the 4 Cs - clarity, color, cut, and carat. Although I’m sure that there are some reputable websites, such as those associated with major jewelers, I’d also want to see the ring on me in person to make sure that I liked the look of it. :-) Again, it’s not something you can’t do, I would just advise against it unless you’re really careful about where you buy from. And always get an independent valuation from another jeweler!
