Mauricio Pochettino will prioritise attempts to keep England star Mason Mount at Chelsea once he is confirmed as the club’s next manager, reports the Evening Standard.
Pochettino is expected to take over as Chelsea boss at the end of the season when interim Frank Lampard's short-term deal expires.
Mount's future is up in the air as the midfielder approaches the final 12 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge, with reports claiming the England international could be sold to keep the club in line with Financial Fair Play rules.
However, it is being reported that potential new boss Pochettino is keen to keep hold of Mount for next season as he prepares to take over at Chelsea.
